Benchmark Email is an email marketing software with its own unique features which enable CRM automation and contact management among other marketing tasks. Now is benchmark email worthy for you?
The marketing software has a highly organized navigation, free plan for beginners, highly organized landing pages, excellent customer service, and advanced automation features which make the software worthy a reputable rating but it also has a few bugs which are overpowered by the excellent working features
Who should use benchmark email?
Benchmark email is all in one software that offers solutions to both small-scale businesses and individual persons and also the larger enterprises and marketers who are into digital marketing.
Inexperienced marketer. If you are starting email marketing, this software is robust for your needs. It has a free plan which comes with unlimited contact subscribers, email editing drag and drop features, quality sign-up forms, RSS campaigns for emails among other great features. However, you will not be able to access other features which will require a premium version such as a/b testing.
Guru marketers. For the experienced marketer, there are more than 1500+ integrations for automation among other advanced features which will need some skills to use but don’t worry because I have you covered in that.
How does benchmark email make marketing easy?
The software is accessible without using a credit card. This free plan enables beginners to run their campaigns without financial constraints.
The software provides us with everything we need ranging from landing pages, compelling signup forms, contact management, and marketing automation tools, and other many advanced features to run our marketing campaigns be it affiliate marketing or any other kind of marketing through email marketing.
Now, Benchmark does not offer us the email list. No. But it provides very unique features that enable the collection of emails and sending those emails with automation features.
Now, what are these features of benchmark email that you can use to drive crazy traffic to your marketing campaigns and how should it be done?
Benchmark features and their uses
All features of the benchmark are accessible in the dashboard which is easy to navigate for anyone. In this section, we will explore ways on how you can monetize your campaigns using benchmark software features.
Customizing and editing your emails
This is the part that I love about the software.
Benchmark guides someone step by step in creating your email campaign.
I have fallen in love with the drop and drag editor feature which makes it seamlessly easy even for inexperienced users to create a campaign. As I said before, we need to have an email list to send the campaign you create.
The company has hundreds of email templates that are 100% customizable through the drag and drop feature or even through deletion if you don’t require them. Through these templates, you can easily create a professional-looking email that is more likely to convert.
I cannot fail to mention this specific feature of mail optimization. Here is where the software lets you send test emails to see the corresponding performance; run spam-check which clears issues like broken links and typing errors to ensure your emails are not discarded in the spam box.
Also, you can choose to target your email campaign by sending emails to those contacts who only open and read your emails.
Management of contacts
The software lets you add contacts to mail either manually, copy-paste your list, or even upload a file.
Again the software guides you step by step. The software has a feature that enables you to notice the emails that bounced, those who unsubscribed, and even those emails that have not been opened. From this breakdown, you can choose to remove these email contacts to remain with a more converting list.
Landing pages
If you don’t have a website, you need not worry because Benchmark has you covered through its landing pages. Again your work is made simple by the drag and drop editing. You will need to add a few branding and editing for maximum performance.
Sign up forms
You may need to use benchmark email to build your email list. What you need to do is to set up the sign-up forms which can be easily customized.
The sign-up forms can be embedded or even set as a popup. Share these signs up to your site, social media, and other posts.
Whenever customers sign up, you will be able to view certain data such as the location of these contacts. From there you can import the list which will be stored for you and download it as a CSV file into your device.
Autoresponders
When you receive replies from the emails you sent, you probably need to respond or even add a call to action but it is tedious to send like 3000 email replies to all those people so what you will do is use the software autoresponder tool to create an automatic response when somebody contacts you.
Through the autoresponder, you will set specific triggers when to respond when a customer completes certain tasks such as clicking a specific link.
Reports and analytics
The software gives you the reports and analytics of different aspects of the emails you send or even the automated responses. The analytic section shows you the emails that bounced, the subscribers, the clicks, the open by locations, and shares on social media.
Benchmark A/B testing
This is an advanced feature of the software. Let’s say you want to determine which subject line of the email or email design will work very well.

You can send separate emails with different formats using just a small portion of your contact list to see which format works well. After seeing which converts well, then you can use the winning format to send emails to the whole contact list.
Benchmark RSS to email
This works best for those who operate websites and have newsletter subscription forms. First, you have to connect your RSS to the benchmark email service.
When you publish a new post in your blog, for example, the benchmark email automation service is notified, automatically creates a template, and sends the email to all your subscribers in an automatic process.
Email integration
This mostly happens when you are in a large business and you need to handle processes like receiving payments and So you have to integrate your campaigns with these services like PayPal, Payoneer, etc.
The good thing is that the software has zapier integrations which allow more than 1500+ services.
For more insight on how to use the software, watch the video below.
Pros and cons
Pros
The software is simple to use. In all cases, an inexperienced marketer can comfortably use all the features of this product.
The automation features work excellently reducing the workload. The email cleaning process ensures only a few emails land in the spam box.
Great prices to get started with, including a free plan which covers unlimited contacts.
Cons
The system has difficulty uploading a new subscriber list, but I am sure the company is working on it.
The company support sometimes is slow when in need of immediate help.
Pricing plans
Benchmark has a free plan and a paid version.
Benchmark has pay per contact form payment.
This means you are only charged depending on the number of contacts stored but you can send unlimited emails when you are in any paid plan.
The free plan includes Drips Campaigns, RSS to Email, Reports, surveys & Polls, drag and drop email builder, responsive email templates, list management, and sign-up forms.

EXTRA COSTS
Email verification
For a benchmark to verify your email list or subscriber list, it charges $3.00 for every 1000 contacts.
Image Hosting
If you need to upgrade the basic storage for your images and logos to unlimited storage for image hosting, then you need to pay an extra $5.00 per month.
Dedicated IP
In some scenarios, you may need to increase the deliverability of your emails and opt in to choose a dedicated IP.
A dedicated IP is a service that enables only one user to send an email in that path. Henceforth, your emails are likely to suffer from landing in the spam box.
Take a scenario when a road is overcrowded, people are likely to have accidents (emails landing in spam) but when you walk alone on a road, then you move fast with little chance of accidents. For you to have a dedicated IP Benchmark charges an extra cost of $28.95 per month.
Conclusion
Benchmark Email has an excellent working feature that is easy to use and customize. It is a great tool for both beginners and gurus.
The software simple guide on each process makes the navigation easy to use. I like it personally. Also, the pricing is great when compared to other tools like Getresponse.
